George M. Madanat, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. George Madanat founded our clinic in 1975, and has since cared for tens of thousands of infants, children and adolescents within the San Gabriel and Inland Valleys. He completed his internship and residency training at Charity Hospital through Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, and earned his unrestricted pediatric board certification in 1976. Dr. Madanat has held numerous leadership positions amongst our local hospitals and healthcare organizations, including serving as Chairman of Pediatrics at San Dimas Community Hospital, Foothill Presbyterian Hospital, and Queen of the Valley Medical Center, and serving as a founder and board member of Physician Associates of the San Gabriel Valley. Dr. Madanat has dedicated himself to the health of underserved children across the globe through his involvement in international relief organizations, and through his service as a physician advisor for the Institute of Social and Economic Policy in the Middle East at the Harvard School of Government. When Dr. Madanat is not working he enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife of 40 years, his five children and eight grandchildren. He also enjoys traveling, and can claim to have stepped foot on all seven continents.
Praful H. Shah, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Praful Shah completed his internship and residency training at Martin Luther King, Jr. Hospital in Los Angeles, and completed a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. He earned his pediatric board certification in 1980 and has worked with Dr. George Madanat for over thirty years. He and his lovely wife, Nina, have raised four beautiful, successful children. When he is not at work, Dr. Shah enjoys gardening, cooking, hiking, and playing tennis.
Michael G. Madanat, M.D., M.B.A., M.S., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Michael Madanat is the eldest son of Dr. George Madanat. He completed his internship and residency training at UCLA Medical Center and Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and earned his pediatric board certification in 2010. Dr. Madanat is a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, where he simultaneously completed his Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Healthcare Management. Dr. Madanat also holds a Master’s Degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Madanat serves on numerous hospital committees including the “Transforming the Patient Experience Committee” and holds many leadership positions, including his service as a Physician Coach for Citrus Valley Health Partners and as a Pod Lead for Healthcare Partners. Dr. Madanat has also served on the board of directors for Heal (www.getheal.com), an innovative physician-on-demand company that has been transforming healthcare delivery throughout California. He is active in the community, and has served as team physician for the Glendora High School varsity football team, as well as a speaker and contributor for Lighten Up San Gabriel Valley, a regional obesity campaign. When he is not working, Dr. Madanat enjoys spending quality time with his family, traveling, cooking, practicing photography, playing various sports and being outdoors. Dr. Madanat is happily married, and has two young sons - George, named after his grandfather, and Nicholas.
Lana G. Madanat, M.S.N., R.N., C.P.N.P.
Lana is the youngest daughter of Dr. George Madanat. She completed her Registered Nursing, Master's in Nursing and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner's certification through Azusa Pacific University, with high honors. Prior to joining Foothill Pediatric & Adolescent Clinic in June 2014, she worked as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse at Queen of the Valley Hospital, West Covina, where she developed special skills in premature and infant care. A good samaritan at heart, Lana has spent countless hours volunteering her healthcare services at churches, summer camps, and health clinics. Lana has a very cheerful personality, and she can often be heard singing Disney songs with her patients to lighten their mood. Lana is happily married, has a three year old son, James, and is expecting a little girl at the end of November. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, trips to Disneyland, eating ice cream and enjoying the outdoors.
Ashley Blayton, M.S.N., R.N., C.P.N.P
After completing a B.S. in Biology from Alabama A&M, Ashley completed her Registered Nursing degree at the University of Alabama Huntsville and received her Masters in Nursing and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner's certification through the University of Alabama Burmingham. Ashley had the pleasure of completing her pediatric clinical rotation at Foothill Pediatric & Adolescent Clinic, where she fell in love with the patients and the staff, and officially joined our practice in 2018. Prior to joining, Ashley strengthened her skills through her work as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse at Kaiser. Although she spent her years of schooling in Alabama, she is a southern California native- born and raised in Moreno Valley. She adores spending time with her parents and her sister. In her free time, you can catch her doing a daily workout, planting, reading and shopping!
